Reflexology - Hands vs. Feet
Reflexology treatments can be performed on both the hands and feet. My preference is to work on the feet because I have found this technique
to be most effective. I would switch to hands if...
- There is an infectious skin disorder on the feet (like athletes foot or warts)
- The feet hurt too much to be worked on (maybe the foot is injured or has an ulcer)
- In the case of an amputated foot
- If a short treatment is required and a full foot treatment is just not possible
- If someone is not comfortable with their feet being touched, they’re embarrassed or have foot odour
Both sides of the body are addressed by working on both hands/feet or a combination.
