Champissage - Contraindications

Champissage is safe and has no side effects. However, there are some circumstances where this treatment should be avoided and those include:

These contraindications exist for the safety of both the client and the practitioner. If you, as a client are injured, it's not a good idea to take a chance and further increase the injury. If you are contagiously ill, the practitioner is at risk of contracting your illness and subsequently passing it to other clients. It is for the benefit of all that these contraindications are adhered to.

There are also some circumstances where extra care needs to be taken with a client: if you're frail, have just undergone chemotherapy, have recovered from a serious illness, are pregnant etc. Should you have any questions/concerns about whether you fall into any of these categories, please feel free to contact and ask me. For your safety, a consultation is conducted before your first treatment to identify any sensitivities and contraindications. If you feel more comfortable seeking your doctor's advice before the implementation of this treatment, please feel free to do so.
